This recipe uses UNCOOKED noodles. The noodles will cook using the moisture from the cheeses and the sauce. This will give the dish a nice firm texture that makes cutting and serving a breeze. You can also use the “new” uncooked pasta that are becoming popular.
2 package(s) Lasagna noodles
2 carton(s) Cottage cheese or Ricotta
1 pound Cheese, Mozzarella
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
2 large Egg(s)
Mix the cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese and eggs together.
In a 9 x 13″ baking pan, make layers in the following order…..
Spaghetti sauce in the bottom of the pan….just cover the bottom so you cannot see it.
Then a single layer of UNCOOKED noodles.
Then the cottage cheese mixture, followed by the mozzarella cheese.
Finally topped with the spaghet sauce.
Make 3-5 layers this way.
Reserve enough mozzarella to sprinkle on the top.
Bake for 45 minutes – 1 hour, covered, in a 350º oven.
