Boggy Pond Apple Cobbler

A nice, simple treat that I got from Buster and Peggy on the BBQ circuit.  When you’re surrounded by all that smoked meat, you really need a little sweetness!

1 can Apple pie filling
1 cup Cheddar cheese, mild, shredded
1 Stick Butter
1 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Flour, self-rising
1 package Ritz crackers, crushed fine

Melt stick of butter in bottom of Dutch oven (you may want to place a large piece of foil in the bottom of the DO.  This will help clean-up).
Combine the flour and the sugar.
Combine the apple filling and the cheese.
Pour the apple filling mixture ver butter.
Sprinkle flour mixture over apple filling.
Crush crackers finely and spread over top of flour.
Bake for 45 minutes at 350°.
